Paying the bills with my mad programming skills...

Earlier this year, Sofi and I went into a Subway and found a huge sign that said their "Sub Club" program was ending as of the end of August. I was aghast - it was a great program and one of the reasons I frequented their restaurants. I was pretty upset by the whole thing but managed to spend my stamps before the program ended.

It turns out that fraud was the reason by beloved program has ended, not some idiotic management decision, proving once and for all that there ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

... and yes, Jared has aides.

Regrettably, I just found this out as well. I talked to a Sandwich Artist at one of the East locations the other day and he bascially told me exactly what you heard. He went on to say that Saskatchewan Subways have been losing on average $10K per store each year in stolen stamps and employees have often been involved. Apparently though, the plan is to replace the Subway Club program in Saskatchewan with some type of swipe card program (a la Galaxy) at some point, which is good, I guess.
