Paying the bills with my mad programming skills...

It was a quick two-day trip to Chicago. I can't say it was worth the money to my company or my client but hopefully it will pay off in the end. In the end, it was 20 hours of travel and 16 hours of work, with nothing too eventful to report. It was my first time driving in Chicago, and I must say I managed pretty well, except for around O'Hare, which takes turns with Atlanta as the largest airport in the world and is a pretty scary huge and scary place.

This weekend has been a pretty uneventful one. I went to my parents a bunch of times for food, which was great, especially Thanksgiving supper on Sunday when Marco and I both went over for some home cooking. I also managed to watch a number of flicks. Paycheck was an okay movie, nothing special about it but it was entertaining for a few hours. I don't think I can say the same about Hellboy, though. It kept me occupied but in the end I think it came down to the fact that at the end of the movie, I still didn't know what his powers were or how he could actually be hurt. Can you tell I didn't read the comics?

Wedding plans are still ongoing. I think we have pretty much finalized the travel plans and such and will hopefully have all the info to mail out soon. Here is the wedding annoucement in the church in Guzman:Derek and Sofi's church marriage announcement

I'm heading out early tomorrow morning for a couple weeks in Chicago before returning home late on the 26th so me, my dad, Nick, and Brandon can head to Maple Creek for a week of hunting. We won't have nearly enough time, but hopefully we'll get something. Speaking of getting something, since I haven't been home at all I haven't made a dent in the meat that I got last year, so if anybody is interested in some free venison, come on over and pick it up!
